    A look at the development of the screw propeller on boats and ships. Various locations, including the Science Museum, Kensington, London.

    Interior. Various C/Us of models of marine propellers, exhibits in the Science Museum. The earliest date from 1830s. In some models we see a man's hand turn the propellers.

    Exterior. Various shots of speed boats doing stunts; they whiz down river and through a wall of burning petrol. L/S of speed boats driving out of lake on to dry land. Panning L/S of large motor boat on lake. We see motor boat drive off into horizon.
