Putting Back The Calendar 1928
Description
Paper records and leader state that this film features a Gordon Bennett Road Race of 1903 - presumably in France.
Begins with shot of two racing cars speeding around a track. The title looks more modern (Late 1920s or early 1930s?) so is probably a reissue. The location looks like Brooklands....

The older clip is the Gordon Bennett Cup race on 2nd July 1903 at Kildare, Ireland (motor racing was not permitted on British Roads).
The "pitstop" at 01:35 is French driver René de Knyff on a Panhard.
There is a brief glimpse at 02:21 of Belgian driver Camille Jenatzy's white No.4 Mercedes (the winner).
