    Shows the work of the R.S.P.C.A.

    Shots of offices at Jermyn Street, London and map showing world wide nature of the Society. Sequence showing Acts of Parliament passed owing to the R.S.P.C.A. Capt. F. MacCunn, Chief Secretary seen dealing with the mail. A "Monition of Cruelty" is issued. Horse parades and pet shows organised by the Society. Inspectors being trained in classrooms and in the field, visiting cattle market and inspecting various livestock and poultry.

    A dog is run over by a speeding car. The driver looks at the dog lying under his car and the lady owner phones the R.S.P.C.A. (She uses an old "stick" type telephone). The inspector is called and finding no hope of saving the dog, pulls out a pistol and shoots it! Shots of "Club Row", a wild bird market in London. Now changed by the passing of the Bird Protection Bill. Small birds kept in cages in squalid conditions. An inspector is seen giving advice on the keeping of poultry. Stray cats rounded up and taken to Animal Centre. Young girl brings pet for treatment and pets convalescing.

    Man rescues dog from burning building and is seen with his family and the medal he won. Also R.S.P.C.A. inspector treats a cart horse with sores on its back through misuse. He talks to its owner.
