"Pretty Boy Floyd" was Charles Floyd. "Baby Face" referred to is "baby Face Nelson", (real name Lester Gillis).

Floyd was killed on 22 October 1934 while being pursued by both the police and the FBI, though the exact circumstances of how he died has never been fully established.

"Shot of unidentified gangster in custody. Shot of corpse on slab." - both those shots are of John Dillinger. (The shorts seen beginning at 00:43 also appear in Pathe clip 558.15 about Dillinger).

Given that this narrative of this piece intimates that Baby Face Nelson was still being chased at the point of Floyd's death, and that Nelson was in fact finally shot and killed on 27 November 1934, it can be very safely judged that the footage originated in 1934.
