President Wilson visits England - part 1. London.

State visit of US President Woodrow Wilson to England. Opens with Wilson and British Prime Minister David Lloyd George in carriage . Wilson; Lord Mayor of London; powdered wig; etc. entering another carriage. US Wilson on bridge of ship; he waves; tips his top hat; Then shot from same level of Wilson and group of people standing on ship talking. Another view same. Wilson getting out of carriage Ship workers waving & cheering. DS submarine in dock; pan right; line of men stand on it. Then tracking shot moving to left; past lots of workers on docks cheering and waving. LS ship next to quay; with crowds on both ship and quay; cheering.

More US Wilson looking over wall; with 2 others; one of them waves his hat (but very dark). CU carriage. Wilson gets in; also other man. Then a wild shot -- looks like smiling CU of Wilson moves right; turning; then ECU bouquet of flowers flies through air like magic. Then very very dark shots people in carriage; then crowd a carriage procession through crowd. Then dark shot of Wilson with King George V in a coach Cool fast tracking shot from vehicle driving down street; past guards; then past large crowd crammed behind barricade -- faces in FG whizz past in a blur; but one can see farther back.

Dark shots of procession through street Shot of group of elderly men; American Civil War veterans; carrying banner and flags. Then GV looking across Trafalgar Square; pan right past lions and monument; on down street. Cool old lamp; sort of ramshackle house in FG; etc.(Blank frames) Looking over heads of soldiers at 3 arches; carriage drives through middle; toward cam. & turns past. Pan looking over crowd.

Guards on horseback ride toward cam; through those arches. More riders & horses. Pan across Square; crowds all pushed back out of way. Scottish guards standing at intervals form line across Square; USA flags on poles in Square. Then shot of crowd breaking up; walking in all directions. More crowded shot of people swarming in street. Bobbies ride toward camera; line of guards with rifles on rt. After police; a procession of several coaches approach. Then it gets almost totally dark; which is too bad; since there are shots of coach with King George V and Wilson; Then the 2 of them walking together; reviewing troops.
