    Prisoner of war and wounded come home. Liverpool.

    L/Ss of large liner tied up in docks. M/Ss of Red Cross van passing waving crowds on the quay. L/S of the ship. Shots of tug boat pulling ship in. Dock workers on the quay pulling on large ropes.

    M/Ss (with natural sound) of three elderly women talking about how much they are glad to be back in Britain after being prisoners of war (several takes). Various shots of several other prisoners of war talking briefly about their experiences in Germany and how nice it is to be back in "Blighty".

    Several shots of the liner carrying the prisoners of war being towed up the Mersey (no sound). People wave from the dockside. Shot of soldiers on the deck of the ship. M/S of Mayor (?) making speech. M/S of Officers saluting. Various shots of repatriated soldiers disembarking from the ship. Some are carried out on stretchers. A local dignitary hands over cigarettes to the wounded. Various similar shots.
