    Round the World record breaking aviators Wiley Post and Harold Gatty wave from the back of a boat. CU of Post and Gatty. Shots of the dock as the boat comes into the harbour. The two fliers are interviewed by a young woman.

    Shots of a large ticker tape parade for the two pilots. They arrive at New York City Hall and are greeted by large crowds.

    Intertitle reads: "Mayor Walker does the honours at City Hall."

    Shots of the Winnie Mae, their plane is towed through the city streets before being exhibited at the Rockefeller Centre. Wiley Post (wearing an eye patch) comes to look at his plane.

    "wave from the back of a boat" - the boat is called the Macom.

    "shots of the Winnie Mae, their plane" - it's a Lockheed Vega monoplane.

    "plane taking off from Floyd Bennett airfield" - that's in New York.

    This clip currently has no given date - the welcome and tickertape parade here took place on 2 July 1931.
