  • The women's costumes aren't 'Puritan,' but the traditional costume of Wales. Sir Reginald Perry was M.P. of the historic Newport constituency of Monmouthshire and became one of the longest-serving MP's from Wales. This particular event brought over 1,000 of his constituents to London in March, 1924 and created such a media buzz that images of it were printed in newspapers around the world.
