Titles: 'Pathe Pictures Ltd. Presents - the Pictorial Revue - Featuring the Stars of the Stage, Screen and Radio. Robb Wilton, Rupert Hazell and Elsie Day, Charles Coburn, O'Gorman Brothers, Sereno & June, Eric Woodburn, Ronald Frankau, Collinson & Dean, Geraldo (by courtesy of The Savoy Hotel), The Diamondos, Jaconelli - compere Ronald Frankau'.
C/U of a face painted on a bald head. The head lifts up so we see it is comedian Ronald Frankau. He puts his top hat on and makes a humorous introduction to this compilation of turns. He makes a rhyming intro to the first act, Rupert Hazell and Elsie Day.
C/U of Rupert Hazell - he looks quite odd, with heavy make-up and tufts of hair sticking out either side of his hat. He tells a few jokes, then plays a sort of violin with a brass horn on the end to accompany soprano Elsie Day (dressed in Victorian crinoline) who sings 'Drink To Me Only With Thine Eyes'. Another lady plays piano. (This is duplicate of item from PT 191.)
Frankau introduces Charlie Coburn. Music hall star Charles Coburn sings 'Two Lovely Black Eyes' (duplicate of PT 220, see separate record for details.)
Frankau introduces Collinson and Dean, but item is missing. Frankau reappears, wearing a large false moustache, and introduces Jaconelli. Accordion player Jaconelli plays 'Lightning Cavalry' (duplicate, without cutaways, of PSP 807 - see separate record for details).
Frankau introduces Eric Woodburn. The famous baritone sings 'The Legion of the Lost' (dupe of PSP 866 - see separate record for details.)
Frankau, dressed in bushy moustache, hat and scarf, introduces Sereno and June. We see the acrobatic pair in 'Balancing De Luxe' (duplicate of PSP 851 - see separate record).
Continued in reel 2.
