    Battle, Sussex.

Three young Tibetan children and a Tibetan woman walk across a typically English village green. They walk past an English pub then through a gateway to The Pestalozzi Children's Village.

Various shots of a Tibetan monk preparing a shrine and a young girl bowing towards the shrine and placing a piece of fabric onto the shrine. It features a picture of the Dalai Lama. Other children enter the room. The children are refugees and will be expected to follow the Dalai Lama's wishes that they train to be Doctors, Nurses, Missionaries and Teachers. Panning shot of the children with hands raised in prayer. "Surely there must be hidden mischief behind these faces?" asks the narrator over C/Us of the angelic children.

The monk gives a Tibetan history lesson in the open air. He picks up one of the little boys and takes him over to the blackboard to show him something. The monk smiles at the boy. The children leave their studies and go and sit on the grass to watch an exhibition of Polish dancing. There are 65 children of different nationalities at the school and they are all encouraged to keep their own traditions alive. Shots of the young Polish dancers. C/U of two Tibetan girls smiling at the dancing. More shots of the dance.

Cuts exist - see separate record.
