A black maid is sitting in the kitchen doing some chore or another (difficult to see what.) Bobby Bumps has hidden inside a box and is trying to get something from the larder without the maid seeing him. But she spots him and lashes him with a whip. He runs off and the maid laughs. A tiny mouse tiptoes into the kitchen. The maid spots him too and throws something at him. She carries on with her work. Fido jumps in through the window and gets a lash from the whip. A little black cat comes in and the maid picks it up and pets it. "Kitty, you am de only one 'round heah dat I kin trust." reads an intertitle. Bobby, Fido and the mouse discuss what they are going to do. Bobby creeps in whilst the maid and cat are having a snooze. He climbs up into the larder and proceeds to throw doughnuts at Fido who then throws them to the mouse. View from outside the house of the mouse trying to catch the doughnuts as they fly through the window.
Suddenly a huge round of cheese comes flying at him. He jumps on top of it saying: "Oh Boy!" Inside the kitchen Bobby has made a real mess - there are doughnuts everywhere, including on the cat's tail. Bobby tears off a chicken leg and places it on the cat's face to make it look like the cat has made the mess. A fly buzzes around the maid. She wakes up and sees the mess. The cat runs off with the maid in hot pursuit. The cat gets under the bed covers but the maid finds him. Comedy chase ensues. Meanwhile outside Bobby, Fido and the mouse are feasting on their stolen goods. The cat and the maid continue their chase across a telephone wire strung between two houses. The maid sees the feast and realises her mistake. She begs for the cat's forgiveness but it walks past with its nose in the air. The maid cries.
