At Hatfield Aerodrome we see an aeronautical garden party given by the London Airplane Club. Some unusual machines are demonstrated, including the Drone - a glider with a six horsepower engine, piloted by Herr Kronfeld. Shots of the aircraft in flight. People watch a fashion show of swimsuits and beachwear around the aerodrome outdoor swimming pool.
A helicopter flies over the pool. Several men take part in a competition where they are given some odds and ends and told to trim a hat. They sit on the ground and struggle with their task, watched by a crowd of women. The lady judge walks past a line of men wearing their trimmed hats - some are very good, some are pretty bad! She picks the winner and puts it on.
