  • Description

Shows processes involved in the manufacturing of shoes in Britain, from cutting to finishing using various machines.

Good C/U shots of the processes involved. Possibly shot at some kind of trade fair to promote the machinery. Nice C/U of three completed shoes - very shiny. Ends with shot of people walking in street seen from a low angle showing shoes.

Safety prints only - two prints exist - use Henderson's which is better.

Note: This is an American Pathe Review item. Flash-frame intertitles.

10 telling images selected from British Pathé's extensive WWI footage. 'The war to end all wars' was a war without parallel: over 70 million military personnel were involved and over 17 million people died.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
