Comedian Leonard Henry, wearing top hat, white tie and tails and carrying a furled umbrella, stands on a set with a curtain behind him. He introduces himself and says that he can always be distinguished from any other Henry by the fact that he has a green spot on his Adam's apple - because he wears a brass collar stud.
He introduces the first act, ventriloquist Arthur Prince, assisted by "the immortal Jim". Before walking off he says "Why I should cart this umbrella about when it doesn't look like rain, I fail to understand", whilst putting the umbrella (obviously made just of fabric from the handle down) into his top hat.
