    "The Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals". The procession is led by a large Shire horse followed by columns of men in bowler hats and riding suits, ladies, and the general public. Driving behind them are two Caravan Dispensary's marked P.D.S.A. They are greeted at St. Martins by Padre Tubby Clayton and Mrs M. A. Dickens M.B.A. and a ceremony takes place

    President Franklin D Roosevelt sits in an open car with Canadian Prime Minister MacKenzie King. They both hold one side of a pair of scissors and snip through a ribbon across the new Thousand Islands Bridge between Canada and America. They are driven over the bridge at the official opening ceremony. Roosevelt makes a speech on a platform in Canada, saying the bridge stands as an open door, that where the boundaries are crossed the only words will be "Pass, friend". Roosevelt is made a Doctor of Law by the Canadians and in ceremonial robes makes another speech, acknowledging Canada as part of the British Empire and says the Americans will not stand idly by if domination of Canadian soil is threatened by any other empire.

    Racing cars hurtle through the streets of Alexandria Bay in a 50 lap race. The race is won by Miles Collier, he crosses the line averaging 56 m.p.h.

    Titles read: "ALPERTON" London.
    Two million gas masks are being prepared and packed in case of WAR. "A.R.P. marches on".

    Title reads: "TENNIS in New York".
    At the N.Y. West Chester Country Club, Joe Hunt of Los Angeles plays Bobby Riggs of California for the Eastern Grass Court Championship. Riggs wins after two hours.
    Title reads: "ON BOTH FRONTS in SPAIN'S CIVIL WAR".
    Scenes of destruction in Alicante after heavy bombing. Children in hospital beds The insurgent army is seen fighting its way to Barcelona. A Pathe cameraman hand cranks a movie camera. Soldiers are seen running across scrub land. Dead soldiers in bunkers.

    Len Hutton is the guest of honour at his home town Pudsey. He is greeted by the mayor at a large banquet which includes the Yorkshire cricket team. Flash back to Hutton scoring 364 runs at the last test match.

    Title reads: "LEE, S.E."
    A man and woman lower a car onto the ground. The tiny open sports car is the smallest in the world with a two and a half H.P. engine. The couple drive the car past Lee Station.

    Title reads: "AUSTRALIA'. Sydney N.S.W.
    The Empire Flying Boat "Coolangatta" takes off from Sydney on an experimental flight to Southampton U.K 85 flying hours. Shots of plane flying over Sydney. Interior shots as a meal is served and drinks prepared. Passengers relax into their seats. Ariel shot flying over the Timor Sea.

    Title reads: "SCOUTS AT WINDSOR CASTLE".
    Scouts parade in quadrangle of Windsor castle in front of the Royal Family. Commentary describes them as "the future of the Empire, youth that is determined to serve". The parading scouts enter St. George's Chapel.
