  • The funeral seen here is for Flight Sergeant (later posthumously promoted to Pilot Officer) Rawdon Middleton VC.

    The "unknown churchyard" is St John's Churchyard, Beck Row, Suffolk (confirmation of that fact at the bottom of this page here.....

    The peaked structure seen at 00:15 is the Lych Gate there. It's still there today, I've checked it on Google maps!

    The RAF station at the start is likely to be RAF Mildenhall, where Middleton was stationed.
