L/S horses lined up for start. The starter raises his hand and they are away. The large field race down a straight. They take a series of jumps and several riders fall. The horses and riders come around a corner and take another fence. At the next fence one horse crashes through the fence and unseats its rider. A member of the crowd runs after the loose horse but falls to catch it. More horses fall at this fence. Horses approach large brush fence. A woman is standing to one side. There are fallers at this fence as well - a couple of spectators run out to help one of the jockeys and nearly get knocked over by a following horse. Closer shot of three horses racing, as the camera tightens only two are left in shot - they are racing at some speed. Shots of the leading three horses taking a jump.
