  • This clip contains footage of the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans. It took place over 15 and 16 June 1963. "High angle shot of cars being worked on (Ferraris?)" - yes, they're Ferraris. Number 23 seen at that point is a Ferrari 250P. "C/Us of man with large quiff and other men looking under the bonnet of a car" - of these men, the one on the left, chewing (at 01:06), is driver Phil Hill. He's then seen again at 01:29. At 01:31 we see driver Bruce McLaren. Then at 01:34 his co-driver Innes Ireland. At 01:44, car 21 is a Ferrari 250P. At 02:02, McLaren and Ireland's Number 8 car is an Aston Martin DP214. At 02:07, Number 18 is the Aston Martin DP215 of Phil Hill and Lucien Bianchi. Both men can be seen looking in to the engine at 02:15. At 02:19, Number 10 is a Ferrari 330 TRI/LM. At 03:04, Number 2 is a Maserati Tipo 151/3. At 03:22, Number 52 is a Rene Bonnet Aerodjet. At 03:42, Number 14 is a Jaguar E-Type Lightweight. At 06:27, Car 00 is a Rover-BRM co-driven by Graham Hill. At 06:34, No 50…
