Cuts (rushes, out takes) for stories in Colour Pictorial - CP 732.
WATER CLOCK. Footage of clock maker studying his reference material and drawing diagrams. Shots of the model clock and of the craftsman working on the larger version. Ostensibly the same kind of material that is in the cut story - nothing very different.
FLOWER SCULPTURE. Short shots of flower arranger and her designs. Nothing remarkably different to the material in cut story apart from a C/U of Mrs Hayes smiling at the camera - looks like she is pretending to have pricked her finger on the rose stem. Some longer shots of Mrs Hayes in her garden.
ART WITH A PAST. Quite a bit of extra material not in cut story. Short shot of jewellery maker holding up one of her designs. Several shots of the girls modelling the jewellery. Same kind of shots as in the cut story. More shots of the designer at work, some good C/Us of her in her protective glasses. C/Us of some of her pieces of art. C/U of some of the stills used in cut story then shot not used, model wears a very ornate headpiece with large coins draped all over her face. L/S of artist putting this head-dress on the model then taking it off and putting on a necklace. Closer shot of the women talking to the artist. Looks like the artist was going to swap the pendant on the bottom with another but couldn't get it off. The second time she tries it it works. She swaps it with a large round disc then adds beads onto the bottom. The model decides that she likes this one better. C/Us of some of Irena's designs. L/S of woman standing at a piano whilst a man plays. She arranges flowers in a vase. C/U of her showing that she wears large ornate necklace.
