Cuts for story SOUTH SEA ISLANDS in CP 678. Mostly similar footage to cut story; more shots at Samoa Airport; scenic shots, hotels, the traditional dancers. Beautiful scenic shots of the coastline; one shows a rainbow. Several shots of tropical vegetation and flowers. Some brief and rather dark shots show the islanders preparing for some kind of ceremony or ritual in feathered costumes. Holidaymakers sit beside a swimming pool and are served drinks; a young couple sit on the edge of the pool. L/S of a United States of America flag and an unidentified one - Samoa?

In a built up street people get off a bus that is open at the back. A French policeman directs traffic on a road. A small boy carries bread along the road. Several people help carry a traditional boat to the water. Several shots of an elderly western man driving a boat around the coastline. Various shots in a town on Tahiti, probably Papeete; people ride on velos (scooters and mopeds). Good L/S of a Pan Am plane appearing in the distance and coming in to land.
