Cuts (out takes, rushes) for story in Colour Pictorial - CP 524. The original story is on Pathe Master tape *PM0305*.
There are a lot of cuts for this story (almost 30 minutes in 2 cans) so definitely worth checking for extra material.
THE RALLY MEN (aka THE RALLY CAVALIERS) - Cuts are similar to material in the cut story. Various rally drivers and check points along the route. Spectators waving and smiling. Navigators and drivers seen from within their car. Lots of shots of the cars racing around both on country roads and on dirt tracks.
Some nice shots of spectators standing in misty woodland waiting for the cars to pass them - anoraks and duffel coats!
Nice shot of a woman driver tending to her car's engine as men look on (possibly Pauline Mayman?) Another woman driver is seen sitting in her car chatting to colleagues. First woman gets into her car - an MG.
More footage of cars being prepared then footage of cars racing around a track - not seen in cut story.
