Cuts (out takes, rushes) for stories in Colour Pictorial - CP 413. The original stories are also on Pathe Master tape *PM0201*.
CANAL RALLY - similar if not same material as in cut story. Shot of a copper kettle being polished - don't think that in cut story.
ESCAPE TOWER - various shots of divers in, and climbing out of, the tank. Shots of submarines moving through Gosport Naval Docks.
AUDITION FOR RACING DRIVERS - similar or same footage as cut story although more footage of drivers being coached and driving around the track.
MOTORISED ROLLER SKATES - hilarious cuts not used in final story. Mr Hancocks is a bit out of control in some shots. The bits where he falls off or crashes into cameramen have not been used in the cut story! Nice shot of his daughter walking towards a suburban house. I nearly split my sides laughing when Tom asked his daughter to get something out of her handbag and as she struggled to get it out she fell off. At one point she seems to be yelling "Dad, Dad, slow down!" Sarah pointed out that the poor girl has a huge rip in her skirt thanks to her dad's crazy invention. Brilliant!
