Cuts (rushes, out takes) for story CAT AMONG THE PIGEONS aka DONKEY RACING in Colour Pictorials - CP 407. The original story is on Pathe Master tape *PM0197*.
The sequences follows similar shots to those in the edited story - with donkeys at Frosbury Farm, Worplesdon, Surrey, cats at Wythams Cat Hotel, Ongar, Essex and pigeons at Datchworth, Hertfordshire. Good shots of donkeys and donkey racing, several sequences of a ginger long haired Persian cat, a Siamese eating from a bowl, and a white smooth haired cat.
There are shots of Major Osman and his wife who are elderly and look like a retired couple, and the idyllic looking 400 year old white painted house in Ongar, which is used for the cattery. Part of the donkey sequences include a woman, Mrs Roberts, in a field with a stick or whip, walking to and fro as if to train or lead something which is behind the camera. M/S of a little blonde girl stroking the nose of a donkey looking quizzical.
