Cuts for story - DECIMAL COINAGE in CP 393. Similar footage to cut story about the new decimal coinage system in South Africa. More footage in the classroom where girls are seen using adding machines while being taught about the Rand and Cent system; the teacher writes the proposed date of decimalisation for Britain as '1964?' - in the cut story it was '1965?'.
Cuts for story SHOWGIRLS AND HATS in CP 393. Similar footage to cut story showing glamour girls from Murray's Cabaret Club having a trip to the seaside, while wearing elaborate sombreros and skimpy matador-influenced stage costumes. A woman in a normal bikini holds a poodle in a swimsuit (yuk!) as the girls parade by. A girl in a blue and white stripy hat and cape puts on lipstick while sitting in a deck chair. They all look rather uncomfortable.
Cuts for story CHARLIE DRAKE in CP 393, about the making of comedy custard pies. Different shots show a film crew setting up the camera to film Charlie Drake (almost totally hidden by the camera). Several shots show men testing the consistency of the foam for the custard pies and mixing in different colours. The clapper board snaps, then we see a slow tracking shot of the audience of women, all moving their heads slightly as they supposedly watch the demonstration of custard pie making.
