01:30:42 to 01:37:47 cuts for story MODEL CARS in CP 385. Various shots of the different processes involved in the manufacture of Matchbox cars. There is a shot of car shells being sprayed yellow that is not seen in the finished version as well as more C/Us of the factory workers. There are also some extreme C/Us of the toys being painted. At one point, a small yellow truck is show being trodden on by a man's shoe - presumably as a demonstration of the toy's durability. Good general shots of toys on the conveyor belt and being demonstrated by the firm's managing directors. Interesting shot, taken from beneath, of hanging boxes moving on a high up conveyor belt. Please note that the picture quality of the cuts is more superior to that of the proper story (taken from the combined print).
01:37:47 to 01:42:40 cuts for story OSTRICH FARM in CP 385. Various shots of products made from ostrich feathers and leather - handbags, capes, shoes etc. C/U, not used in final version, of piles of stones and coins - probably examples of the contents of an ostrich's gizzard. Lots of good general shots of ostriches eating, running and generally doing whatever ostriches do! Apart from this there are a lot of shots of the ostriches being clipped, the ostrich egg being made, ostrich riding etc. All very similar to the cut story.
