01:49:32 to 01:57:26 cuts for story RACING FILM STAR in CP 352. Various shots in the as Richard Wyler changes places with a rider on a motorbike, presumably in a relay race. Several shots of the motorcycle race, all pretty similar to the cut story. Some rather comical M/Ss show spectators pretending to watch the bikes whizz past and move their heads as they go - none are very convincing! M/Ss of Richard putting on a leather mouth-mask (oo-er) and preparing to set off on his bike from the pit. 01:58:32 to 01:58:47 more racing shots.
01:57:26 to 01:58:30 stray sequence from ARMY RAILWAY in CP 354. See separate records for complete story and 'official' cuts. Sequence shows a steam train being waved across a level crossing by a soldier.
01:58:47 to 02:01:20 cuts for story SICILY in CP 352. Nice M/S of a young girl sewing part of a tapestry; not in cut story. Several shots of the two local girls in traditional costume. Some nice shots in the open air restaurant; a waiter seems to be discussing tomatoes with a diner. Shots of the ruins as in the cut story. The woman with the parrot from 'Island of Vulcano' - CP 344 appears in a couple of shots. M/S of puppets hanging outside a souvenir shop. Brief street scene with a church in the background. Some brief shots of the holiday camp show women sunbathing in bikinis. Brief shot of crates of fruit set out in a street market.
