Army camp - a two week break for members of the civilian army.

Various shots of soldiers on the march. Various manoeuvres. Infantry and machine-gunners undertake a mock battle in the Isle of Man, near Ramsay. Various army vehicles carry the 55th Divisional Artillery towards the battle.

Narrator tells us all about the 55th West Lancashire Territorial Division as we see them during the exercise. Narrator states that recruits are needed and tells us all about the holidays and perks soldiers get. Concerts, paid holidays and sports are cited as "perks" and we see soldiers having fun during a tug-of-war and swimming in the sea.

Men are seen collecting their pay. The 55th is seen marching through Liverpool on a church parade.

"55th Lancashire need recruits - what about it Lancashire?" asks the narrator as the film ends.
