    Mayfair, London.

Dumas, the hairdresser, has created various hairstyles based on a Japanese theme.

M/S of a man in Japanese mandarin costume as he strikes or bongs a large gong. M/S of a girl in a kimono, reveals herself as she closes a large blue fan. Her name is Gwen Cotton, and her hair is elaborately dresses in a Japanese style black wig, decorated with orchids. She has Japanese style make up with very pale foundation. She turns her head to show the style. M/S of the mandarin raising the gong stick and striking.

C/U shot of the silk pattern mandarin jacket worn by Susan Goldfield. Her black hair is styled in a modern, western version of the Geisha. Her hair is also decorated with lilac orchids. Next we have a shot of Anne Hobart, who has light blue hair and sequinned eyebrows. M/S of the cat walk with Evelyn Fuller. C/U of her blue black hair and sharp fringe. Top shot of Belinda Murdoch's head. She has light coloured hair, and the commentary tells us that she is the daughter of Richard Murdoch.

Jeannette Burton shows off her hair style, and finally we see Clarissa Roberts on the platform, wearing a spotted dress with a large bow at the back, and turning to show the hair style with large 'flick ups' at the back. There are quick shots of the gong and the mandarin throughout.
