  • The incident occurred on 15 May 1934.

    "one of the men has bandaged head" - that's the Captain of the Nantucket, George W Braithwaite.

    "The Captain of the liner" - his name is John Binks.

    "Men state that all happened so quickly" - the man saying that is the Nantucket's first mate Clifton E Mosher.
