He asks 'Are you too tired to give an interview for the news reels?', and she replies 'Not at all, I'd be very pleased. What can I say?'. She says to the question 'Is it true you're going to give up skating', 'No, I'm going to defend my titles this year. First I have the European Championship in Berlin, and the Olympic championship in Garmisch, and the World Championship in Paris'. In response to 'How many world championships have you won?', she replies 'I have nine, and if I win this year it will be ten World Championships, and three Olympic Games'. In response to 'Do you think you will win?', she says 'Well, don't ask me those kind of questions'. To 'When are you turning professional?', she says 'I am never turning professional. I've always been an amateur, and I want to stay one'. As a footnote, Henie turned professional later the same year.
