Graphic reading 'Pathe reporter meets', Mid shot of the ship 'Port Hobart' docked at Tilbury, and close up. Entire New Zealand Olympic team, all seven of them, lined up in smart black blazers on deck. Close up pan across athletes, including runner Doug Harris, John Holland, Doug Harris, Bob Goslin, Nick Carter, Maurice Crow, Ngaire Lane, her chaperone Mrs Ingram, and team manager David Woodfield. Reporter interviews David Woodfield, and asks him 'What do you think your team are going to shine at, what's the outstanding events?'. Woodfield replies 'Well, that's a rather awkward question of course. I'd like to, at the end of the games, feel as though they've shone at everything. We certainly have some very very good individual performers, but they're all up to Olympic standard, and some are world class'. Wide of reporter and team, and close up interview with Ngaire Lane. She says 'Well, I did my qualifying time of 77 seconds to come to the games, but whether that's going to carry me as far as I'd like, I don't know'. Various shots of New Zealand team performing the haka, with audio, as the camera crew watch on.
