    Mid shot of ceremony for the opening of the Olympic Way at Wembley Stadium, as speaker introduces the Minister of Transport, Alfred Barnes. Alfred Barnes speaks, and praises Wembley Stadium Ltd for the work that they have done on linking the stadium to road and railway lines. He jokes that he, as a socialist, is very pleased to be able to compliment them. He speaks about the cost of the project being approximately ?200,000, and thanks Wembley Stadium Ltd for footing half the cost. Alfred Barnes cuts the ribbon to open the Olympic Way, and declares it open. Lord Burghley, of the Olympic Organising Committee, speaks, thanking Alfred Barnes for his time in coming to the ceremony. He thanks Mr Barnes for the bowler hat he gave him, and everyone laughs. He makes a joke about how difficult it is to get money out of the treasury. He says that the opening of the Olympic Way is far more than the opening of a new road, then pictures cut off.
