    It looks - though VERY hard to tell - as though the Guider may be holding a standard of some sort rather than "just" a flag. Colour parties (Guide carrying flag & two Guides escorting her) can be seen moving around the edge of the shot before forming up to approach & dip flags. The flags the Guides are holding are Company Colours, each of those flags represents a single local Guide Unit.
