    Sydney, Australia. C/U Queen Salote of Tonga. C/U documents she is examining at Mitchell Library in Sydney. M/S's Queen examining documents about Friendly Islands of which she is Queen. L/S Queen Salote shaking hands with officials outside library, she turns and walks towards camera. M/S as she walks away.

    Intertitle - 'Kiel' (Germany). Racing yachts at Kiel. M/S yacht being pushed towards the water on its trailer. M/S as another yacht is swung out across the water by crane. C/U of starter firing his pistol. Various shots of yachts racing in rough water. L/S of the winners in their yacht changing sides by ducking under the swinging gib. M/S crowd watching. M/S of the two winners coming ashore and congratulating each other. C/U as they smile.

    Intertitle - 'California' (America, USA). Amateur Athletics meeting at Bakersfield. M/S as the high jump bar is adjusted, M/S of board showing it now stands at 7'2". L/S champion Johnny Thomas running towards the bar, he jumps and clears it but the wind blows the bar down just after. M/S crowd. L/S as Thomas takes the jump again and clears it, this time the bar stays up. M/S press men. C/U Johnny Thomas afterwards.
