    Orpington, Kent.

Various shots of the inventor Patrick Howden with assistant working on his new invention - a machine which keeps hot and cold water divided. Various shots of Mr Howden and a woman showing off his new machine invention - a contraption made from a Meccano piece and tin cans. The idea is that hot water goes in one can and cold in the other. An arm rocks between the two cans working on the expansion and contraction of metals principal. The rocking turns a wheel with scoops on, the scoops of cold water which contributes further to the thing keeping moving.
