  • The launching seen here took place on 16 January 1935.

Fitting-out work then took place, and the ship was finally commissioned on 27 January 1936.

The ship was seized by the Allies during WWII, and later sailed under the names "Empire Fowey" and "Empire Jewel" up until it's scrapping in 1976.
