    Cricketers try out new cover which prolongs life of cricket bats.

    Various shots of David Hulme, young son of cricketer / footballer Joe Hulme, demonstrating how the cover works: he paints glue onto battered old bat and then sticks the new plastic cover onto it. Australian cricketer / coach / writer Alan Fairfax comes over and inspects David's work, he seems to approve.

    Various shots of cricketer Maurice Tate bowling and cricketer Peter Smith batting on field. Peter Smith stops bowling when his bat splits, Alan Fairfax enters and gives Peter the newly covered bat, Peter nods approvingly.
