    Salzburg, Austria.

    A train draws into the station as snow falls. The new Roman Catholic Bishop Sigismund Waitz arrives in Salzburg for his enthronement. He is given a state welcome by the local civic authorities.

    Ext Salzburg Cathedral. The Bishop comes out into the falling snow after the ceremony. Austrian troops led by a military band march past to celebrate the enthronement. Women in traditional local costume look on.

    The bishop seen here is Sigismund Waitz (confirmed by commentator).

    He was appointed bishop on 10 December 1934. Presumably this enthronement takes place around the same time, maybe even the same day. Either way, I think we can safely assume this film is from either 1934 or possibly 1935, enabling a substantial reduction on the current date range of 1930-39.
