    Nettles.

    Northumberland.

    The camera pans across people picking nettles for their medicinal purposes. Various shots as some people sting themselves. They walk along pulling a barrow full of nettles. Various shots as they bring in other plants so they can extract the herbs for use in medicine. M/S as ladies put gloves on, the plants are tied into bundles and hung up to dry then the leaves are cut off and sorted before being put on trays. Girls place them in large ovens to dry out more then tip them into sacks.
