Title: "Fascism's Triumph! King Emmanuel opens Italy's 28th Parliament ... now wholly Fascist under Signor Mussolini's co-operative scheme." Rome. Horsedrawn carriage followed by cavalry troops. People get out. King Emmanuel gets back in. (G 1601) Benito Mussolini speaks from balcony. (G 1655) Title: "Rome. They builded well in those days! Signor Mussolini and Cabinet inspect completion of excavation of the recently discovered "Market of Trajan" dating from earliest days of the Christian Era." Il Duce inspects excavations. Title reads: "Ancient & Modern. Trams now pass above the ancient part of 'the Eternal City'." (G 1656) Title: "Rome. Signorina Edda Mussolini - 19 year old daughter of Il Duce - weds Count Galeazzo Ciano." Edda and her father get into wedding car. Shot of Edda and Ciano, young fascists parade past and salute. Intertitle: "After the ceremony, the Bridal couple were received by HH the Pope." Couple in St Peter's Square. (G 1707). Mussolini cheered. Various groups of fascist youth march past. (G 1708). Princess of Piedmont launches 10,000 ton cruiser Zara in Spezia - Italian Naval expansion. (G 1709) Title: "Rome. HH The Pope & Mussolini meet and set the seal on their work of restoring religious Peace in Italy." Mussolini arrives at the Vatican. Comes out with cardinals after meeting Pope. (32/14) Title reads: "Harbours of Romance. Two Minutes under Italian Skies. - etc." Views of various seaside resorts in Italy. Shots of Pompeii. Views of Capri and other honeymoon destinations. (PT 50) Title: "The Duce's new Role - Signor Mussolini takes the 'Hurrah' salute - hitherto reserved for the King of Italy - after marching as a soldier of the line at end of Italian Army Manoeuvres." Mussolini watches army manoeuvres as men work with tanks. He inspects troops. (33/76) Shots of Italian factories in production. Making motorcars. Working with wood. Aerial of factory. Dairy farming. Milk, cheese and wool production (36/3) Title: "Triple Alliance - Italian Hungarian Austrian Agreement signed in Rome." Mussolini and others sign agreement. (36/28) Italian cavalry on manoeuvres. Mussolini speaks at meeting (UN 76 E) Title: "Marshal Badoglio enters the burnt out city of Addis Ababa." Views of damaged capital of Ethiopia / Abyssinia. Marshal Badoglio enters palace in Addis Ababa. Italian flag is raised over building.
