    Harbourne, Nr. Birmingham.

Exterior. M/S of a road with a grass bank behind it. A man on a scooter whizzes past. L/S of what appears to be a motorcycle course - a rough road is marked out with white stones over a muddy stretch of wasteland. The course is part of Britain's only private school for motorcyclists, started by motorcycle traders, 'Cope's'. The man on the scooter rides past. In the distance a man on a motorbike is racing around another part of the course. Panning shot follows the man on the scooter as he wobbles off the course and falls off. He laughs as he picks himself up. An instructor in a white laboratory coat (probably Gordon Evans) runs on to the course to assist the man. The instructor is joined by a woman in a short white jacket and white helmet. The instructor wheels the scooter off.

High angle L/S of the course with about half a dozen people driving around it on scooters and motorbikes. L/S of the motorcyclists turning a sharp bend in the course. M/S of the motorcyclists rounding the bend. According to the narrator this course is designed to duplicate real road surfaces and driving conditions.

M/S of a young man dressed in leather, Jack Jones, and an instructor in a white laboratory coat and beret, Edward Scarlet, getting on to a maroon motorbike. In the background other instructors and motorcyclists are checking their bikes. Two cars are parked behind them, to the left is a large Portacabin. Edward starts the maroon bike with his foot and Jack climbs on behind him. They drive off.

M/S of an instructor, a man in a flat cap, a young man and a woman in a white helmet. They are looking out over the course.

M/S of parked bikes and cars at the edge of the course. Several bikers and instructors are milling about. In the foreground a young woman dressed in a blue boiler suit, Marion Smedley, is tentatively starting up her scooter. Close beside her on a similar scooter is Gordon Evans. Panning shot follows the two bikes as they cautiously drive onto the course. M/S of Gordon and Marion. Gordon appears to be giving Marion words of encouragement. C/U of Marion smiling nervously as she wobbles very slowly around the course. Tilt down to the front wheel of the scooter coming to a halt and Marion's foot coming to the ground. Gordon gets off his bike and helps Marion restart her scooter. Marion and Gordon drive off shakily.

M/S of Jack driving past a 'halt' sign on the course. Jack stops momentarily before restarting and driving off. Behind him another young woman dressed in a skirt and high heels brings her scooter to a standstill. M/S from the side of the woman in the high heels as another scooter drives past, driven by a man with the woman in the white helmet on the back. An instructor runs on to assist the woman. He gives the scooter a push and runs alongside it until he is sure it is going. Various shots of the woman in the high heels looking anxious as she drives the scooter around the course.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
