  • Reducing the clip's current date range of 1950-59, this is the Miss World 1953 contest. The dark-haired girl at 01:33 is the eventual winner, Denise Perrier of France.

"Cafe de Paris, London (?)" - yes, the Miss World contest that year was at The Lyceum Theatre, London.

The blonde girl at front of picture at 00:04 is the British contestant Brenda Mee, (who incidentally also appeared for Britain in 1951).

The girl at rear of picture at 00:06 is Miss Egypt.

  • "Miss Egypt" referred to in my earlier comment was Marina Papaelia.
