  • The race began on 3 April 1938.

    Amongst the identifiable cars are;

    At 00:06 is car No. 141, is Giuseppe Farina in an Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B.

    At 00:08, car 108 is Prince Max zu Schaumburg-Lippe in a BMW 328.

    At 00:16, car 142 is Carlo Maria Pintacuda in an Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B.

    At 00:19 car 149 is Rene Carriere, driving a Talbot T150C.

    At 01:09, car 114 is a BMW 328, driven by Count Heinrich von der Muhle-Eckart.

    At 01:13 car 140 is Franco Cortese in an Alfa Rmeo 6C 2300B MM.

    "Viondette (sp?) is the first in an Alfa Romeo" - that should read Clemente Biondetti. His car is an Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B.
