  • The location here is "The Freemasons Arms" pub, on Downshire Hill, Hampstead Heath, London. It's still open in 2012.

    The game of mell featured here is also called pell mell. Apparently the pell mell court is still at the pub, (though possibly not in use), and is the last one in England.
