    Camera pans along line of young men - the Oxford crew. This is the Oxford Rowing Team which will compete with Cambridge in this year's Oxford v Cambridge boat race. Succession of close up shots introducing each member of the crew to the audience.

    Note - sound stops for short periods at the start and towards the end of item.

    The men seen here are: Mike Ashby, Jock Lewes (President of the Oxford University Boat Club), David Mynors, Ronnie Rowe, Paul Burrough, John "Jan" Sturrock, Conrad Cherry (sadly killed in action during WWII), Brian Hodgson and Gordon Merrifield.

    Amendment 2016: Jock Lewes became a founding principal training officer of the SAS and inventor of the Lewes bomb. He was killed in action in December 1941.
