Titles read: "KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYA CELEBRATES".

Various shots show a huge night time procession of ornate carnival floats moving through the streets of Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the centenary of the federal capital. Large crowds of people watch the floats go by.

Children join in the celebrations, carrying Malayan flags and lanterns in the street. Some floats depict heroes and villains of the past such as Sultan Abdul Samad, who is reputed to have killed 99 men with his own hands.
