No title. M/S of group of women in their best frocks and hats at the races in Auteuil, Paris, France. C/U showing frill detail of dress and fox fur stole. It is a whole fox with head and brush.

"Doubtless somewhere in the background, puzzled Adams were trying to forecast winners, but Eve was too busy devouring the latest Paris creations to notice." M/S of woman posing. C/U of rather sweet hat being modelled. Very glamorous woman models dress with another fox fur stole hanging from her shoulders. C/U of her close fitting hat with veil. She wears a string of pearls. Very 1920s! She turns to show the back of the hat.

"Solomon in all his glory, never dreamed of such striking variety in Eve's wear." M/S of group of four women in nice frocks. M/S of woman standing alone in nice dress. C/U to show her lovely cloche hat. Another woman models a fabulous dress with diagonal stripes and a hat with a big floppy brim. Men admire her look as she turns for the camera.

"Most of the skirts are longer - but we have yet to see how the feminine world adopts the added length." M/S of four women, three of whom have large fur or feather collars to their dresses. M/S of two very glamourous girls. One throws her fox around a bit! C/U of a hat being modelled. No shots of the horse racing.

Date and issue number unknown but definitely Eve's Film Review rather than Pathe Pictorial.

Note: flash-frame intertitles. Very nice hats and frocks - the women mostly seem to be unprofessional models. Date and issue number unknown.

Animals are often the forgotten army of World War I. They displayed unwavering courage even when exposed to extreme conditions. British Pathé pay tribute to these forgotten warriors.

British Pathe captured many extraordinary events on film over its 80 year history but sometimes the cameras were switched on when tragedy struck.
