Item title reads: "Lord Justice" Billy Merson presides at historic contest for the Dunmow Flitch."

    Ilford, Essex

M/S long procession of people with men at the front carrying something on their shoulders. The crowd on either side are waved away by officials. Some men are dressed as judges and barristers in robes and wigs. Billy Merson stands in a line with others - he wears a judge's wig and he points and wags a finger in a mock accusing fashion to the people on either side of him. He also scratches his head,as if the wig is uncomfortable.

Note: He looks as if he says, ' I told you so...' - quirky item.
