  • "Charter Day" was the day on which Lytham was amalgamated with St-Anne's-on-the-sea to form the borough of Lytham St Anne's.

    The ceremony took part on 1 May 1922.

    The scenes at 00:21 with various men arriving take place outside Lytham Council Offices.

    The scenes at 00:38 take place in the doorway of the council offices in St Anne's. Seen on the far right at this point is Town Clerk Mr Thomas Bradley.

    The scenes from 01:12 take place outside the War Memorial Hospital in St Anne's.
