    The event took place over the 10th and 11th January 1936.

    The officers are members of the U.S. Navy's VP-10F squadron.

    "Lieutenant Commander MacGuiness (sp?)" should read Lt Cmdr Knefler McGinnis.

    The plane shown ready to take off, and then taking off, is a Consolidated PZY-1.
